Advance Queenlsand’s Ignite Ideas Round #12 is awarded to SolarisAI

SolarisAI is excited to announce being awarded $100K by the Queensland Government through the Advance Queensland’s Ignite Ideas Round #12 Fund in September 2024. We want to thank Leanne Linard MP, Minister for the Environment and the Great Barrier Reef, Minster for Science and Innovation for her ongoing support. We also want to thank Steven Lee, Senior Project Officer, Contract and Investment Management/Innovation with the Department of Environment, Science and Innovation (DESI) for his support- https://advance.qld.gov.au/grants-and-programs/mar/ignite-ideas-fund

We greatly appreciate the assistance from the University of Queensland (UQ) and the School of Electrical Engineering & Computer Science (EECS) throughout the development and launch of our software-as-a-service (SaaS) advanced data analytics & artificial intelligence (AI) platform. We really value the long-term backing from our key industry partners Edify Energy’s Andreas Meyer (Solar Asset Manager) and Weidmuller’s Rafael Koening (Managing Director)/Ritesh Anand (National Sales Manager) who provided crucial letters of support for the grant. We have been working closely with UQ, Edify Energy, Weidmuller and other industry partners for several years, which has been critical to the technical development of our platform. We are now looking forward to working jointly with the Queensland Government, Advance Queensland and DESI.

In February 2024, SolarisAI’s commercial and media launch was announced as a UQ spin-out. We are now 7 months into our market launch, so we really appreciate the timing of the Advance Queensland’s Ignite Ideas Round #12 funding. These funds will allow us to expand our commercial activities, so we can accelerate the delivery of our services to customers. We will aim to hire a part-time account manager to help drive commercial sales over the next 12 months. We will be hosting two commercial workshops (QLD & NSW) in 2025 to showcase our platform and other technologies to key customers. We will also be attending several conferences to demonstrate our platform. This includes the All-Energy Australia Conference in Melbourne from the 23rd-24th of October- https://www.all-energy.com.au/en-gb/exhibitor-details.org-6f769fe1-2c06-494e-9fa0-901d58e8e616.html#/

The Queensland Energy Network will be enhanced by the improved performance of utilizing advanced data analytics and AI to help maximize energy supply from utility-scale solar farms and commercial photovoltaic (PV) installations, plus it will help reduce operations & maintenance (O&M) costs. The SolarisAI services offered to customers will be cloud-based SaaS, customer integrated SaaS, customer data analysis reports, predictive maintenance using AI, customer pre-filtering data software and market insight tools. These services will help owners, asset managers, O&M monitoring companies and electrical services providers at solar farms to identify faults, equipment underperformance, soiling of PV panels and future maintenance needs to help reduce site loses by up to 10-15%. The improved operational efficiency of solar farms will assist with a faster transition from dirty to clean energy for Queensland by improving the profitability of solar energy.

We would welcome the opportunity to further discuss our platform. Please feel free to contact us at the following via our website-
