Gentari Solar Australia & Edify Energy’s 57.5MW Hamilton Solar Farm- Collinsville, QLD

Between the 26th-28th of February 2024, Edify Energy’s Andreas Meyer & Isaac Fernandez supervised a SolarisAI site inspection at their 70MWDC/57.5MWAC Hamilton solar farm at Collinsville/Springlands in the QLD Whitsunday Region. The SolarisAI platform will be rolled out with Edify Energy & Gentari Solar Australia at their Hamilton site at the end of March 2024.

The Hamilton solar farm is divided into 4 separate parcels, covers 389 acres, has 215,280 high performance polycrystalline PV panels, 23 2.5MW inverters and produces 144,000 MWh of energy. It is located just North of the Collinsville Coal Mining site in Springlands QLD, which is owned by Xstrata, Itochu and the Sumitomo Group. The mine produces 6 million tonnes of coal annually. The blasting at the mine site can be seen from parcel 1 of the Hamilton site.

Edify Energy’s team conducted routine maintenance & operation inspections at the Hamilton site, which included drone flyovers to detect abnormalities such as hot spots or fractures in PV panels.

SolarisAI team in conducting I-V curve traces

DMK Industries supported the SolarisAI team in conducting I-V curve traces at multiple locations along with identifying faults, such as blown fuses or damaged PV panels, using our advanced data analytics platform.

Other sites inspected included the adjacent 70MWDC/57.5MWAC Whitsunday, 180MWDC/150MWAC Daydream and 60MWDC/50MWAC Hayman solar farms.
